My all time favorite breakfast was Stuffed French Toast that we enjoyed at Mast Farm Inn, a bed and breakfast in NC, on our 15th wedding anniversary. At that time I had never heard of "stuffed" French toast. But...that was many years ago now, and I make this dish for company all the time and remember that special anniversary trip and the wonderful meals we had at Mast Farm. Thanks for the chance to enter your giveaway.

The ultimate breakfast would have to me a tamale and a Dr. Pepper. It goes way back to the hunting and fishing days with my family on those early cold mornings.

My favorite breakfast is leftovers from a great dinner. No matter what it was, if it was good the night before, it is going to be even better in the mornings light when I am hungry.Favorite would probably be ham, mashed potatoes and gravy from some great celebratory dinner the night before. Yummy. The morning after Thanksgiving, or Christmas, WOW !

Nothing too sweet - fruit is the only sweet thing I like with breakfast. I can't start my day with all that maple syrup and mega-carbs. There is a local sausage called goetta that is wonderful. I'd do a goetta omelette, wheat tarragon toast and seasonal fruit.

sweepmom said...

My favorite breakfast is pancakes made by a local restaurant. I cannot even describe to you how delicious they are. Pair one of them with a side of scrapple and I am in heaven.

Nothing compares to our 'Family Breakfast in the Mountains'!!! We start about 9am, load up a few cars with family, a few pets, food and essentials, take a drive to nearby Pikes Peak, find a perfect camping spot by a creek, unload all the goodies, and the magic begins!! We start a campfire surrounded by rocks, put on metal grills, and throw on big cast iron skillets! We cook up fried potatoes, bacon, eggs and green chili. Someone else makes tortillas, while another family member preps the thermoses of o.j. and coffee and paper plates and such. When the campfire food is done, we mix it all together ~~ scrambled eggs, crumbled crispy bacon, fried potatoes and hot green chilies!!! Then the best part ~~ we eat!! Thank you for the contest!

I guess my favorite breakfast would be what we called "yellow pancakes" when I was growing up. I think they must have a German background. They are more eggy and less fluffy then regular pancakes....more like a crepe, but thicker. You mix the batter, pour it in the skillet and let one side cook. Flip it over until nicely browned. Served with good maple syrup. I used to beg my Mom to makes these when I was a child. That usually meant that I got sent out to the chicken coop to find eggs, but it was worth it :-) I've never cared much for other pancakes and seldom eat them. I gave my husband this recipe when we got married....he is the weekend breakfast cook...and he is the one that makes them now on the rare occasions we eat them. They will always connect me to my childhood and my mother and now my husband when I eat them. I like bacon with them. Yum!

My all time favorite breakfast I only get maybe once or twice a year. Of course it's not really good for me, but it's one of those things that when I get a chance to have it I'm not turning it down. That would be a local family restaurant a couple towns over from where we live. It's a Sunday treat when we do. They make the best country fried steak with gravy, scrambled eggs and bisquits.

Hard to narrow that one down--
Always love a great eggs benny, but can surely be won with a good pastry,-corned beef hash,or any meal involving an Irish coffee. Better yet- any breakfast without coffee is no meal at all. So a good latte beats anything else in my book.
